In the period after lockdown in summer 2020, Shân Roberts felt inspired to produce a series of 3 large paintings celebrating the beauty of the common flowers we see in the UK. Although not exotic, they have a flamboyance and richness of colour which she finds joyful and uplifting.

“Poppies” is a celebration of the gorgeous rich colour and silky texture of poppy flowers, and the wonderful soft furry buds suggested in the background.
