In the period after lockdown in summer 2020, Shân felt inspired to produce a series of 3 large paintings celebrating the beauty of the common flowers we see in the UK. Although not exotic, they have a flamboyance and richness of colour which she finds joyful and uplifting.

“Sunflowers” was the first of the three to be completed, and celebrates the rich intensity of colour which sunflowers bring us. They always makes Shân feel cheerful.
